Mark,
Words like those make it all the easier to keep writing! Look for a new posting at least three times a week, and stay tuned for the Naturally Intense website relaunch- whcih will feature at least another 30 or so original aritcles- (I have been busy!) Stay on the path and keep on inspiring others to do the same. Have a blessed day, Mark.

Warmest regards

Charlie,
As long as my work serves to help others I am more than happy to have it spread. Feel free to post this and any other article as long as they are intact and all the links are included. Thanks again!

Great article Kevin! I'm noticing through my group and as you mentioned here too, that it's so often a lack of preperation or also the convenience of these pre-prepared food sources where people fail with their healthy lifestyle intentions. Learning to get into the kitchen and actually think about foods, even for basic meals is a process, which takes many several weeks to work as a routine into their lifes. But, those that succeed at this are the ones that not only complete our 16-weeks together but continue and truly change their lives for the better! I'm with you that our goals should be to achieve our dietary needs completely through natural and unprocessed foods. I am not quite there yet myself (still falling back on these protein drinks) but getting there is important to me ~ and something that I try to lay on my class's hearts too, that supplements (which I don't even discuss until about the 12th week together) should only be seen for what they are called and not as the necessary means of achieving the perfect body as the media makes them to appear.

I'm always looking forward to your next article and gain so much from them as well. Have a great and blessed day full of opportunities!

The 'window of opportunity' is an equally nebulous idea that is not supported by any biological truth. What scientists do know is that protein synthesis increases for 48 hours on average after intense resistance activity, so a solid meal with a healthy balance of protein, carbs and fats should be fine depending on what time of day you are training.

There is no better way to put it. Well said and straight up, supplement companies are bullshit. The hype around whey protein shakes has hypnotized 98% of the athletic population. It amazes me how stupid I have been in the last few years blowing my money on all this garbage. All the supplements did was bloat me…and after all, that is what the young brain-washed fool is looking for-a quick and effortless way to “appear” “jacked.” I have now come to accept the cold, hard, and hurtful truth: you ain’t shit without a solid diet and a kick-ass exercise plan. All the supplements in the world won’t get you there.

Now with respects to this, I’m stuck in a little dilemma regarding this “window of opportunity.” If this is true, what is the fastest absorbing protein/carb source (natural food) that I can consume as a post-workout meal? Does it matter as long as I’m eating a decent natural source of protein/carbs? Feedback is much appreciated.
